World of Warcraft: Shadowlands review
The arrival of new content in MMO or online service type video games in general turns into torture for me at times. As you know, in these types of games, preparations are made for weeks, maybe months, in order not to be left behind even on the release days of new content, so that we can jump to the end-game content when new content is released. Frankly, I am familiar with this logic from the Destiny brand, but I had not even thought of entering such a race in the World of Warcraft game before. This time, I prepared for World of Warcraft: Shadowlands instead of Destiny 2: Beyond Light to make a change in my life . Of course I also have a capacity. While many people can frantically play and prepare the game for all of their character classes, I focused on just one class. By the time World of Warcraft: Shadowlands opened its doors to players, I was already at the top of the line and in about 10 hours I managed to complete the level race in the expansion pack. If I wasn't prepared, I think it would probably take me 1-2 weeks to go from level 50 to 60. Besides, I guess I couldn't have played this expansion pack as intensely as now. Ultimately, I reached the final level with World of Warcraft: Shadowlands, finished the main story, finished some content that could be considered to be part end of the game, and started working on the other side content of course The Maw. However, there has been one erroneous task that has caused me problems throughout my experience, which may have even been corrected by the time I finished this review; Blizzard Entertainment said they were aware of the bug in that mission and are preparing an update. So, the first day experience of this expansion pack was better than usual for me. After the power level in the Destiny 2 game was increasing, frankly, I flowed like an oil with World of Warcraft: Shadowlands. When you hit a certain pace, you can level up really satisfactorily in this expansion pack. This is of course the basis for new content, and I think that creating such a smooth leveling experience will surely attract everyone's attention. Maybe, in order to see this beauty, you need to play a game like Destiny 2, which has a problem with the leveling system, I don't know. World of Warcraft: Shadowlands World of Warcraft: Shadowlands comes with four main regions and an endgame area There are four different main regions that you can use to level up in World of Warcraft: Shadowlands game. These regions are named Ardenweald, Bastion, Maldraxxus and Revendreth. All of these regions are really beautifully designed. At the same time, the enemy distribution in the regions and anything else you can think of is quite successful. Apart from these, there is also a new opening section for new players. The name of this episode is Exile's Reach and it is considered successful, but of course the rate does not matter; you only go after level 10. There is also a city in Shadowlands. Our city called Oribos is mentioned as one of the areas we visit a lot. It was really difficult to get used to this city at first, but as time passed you got used to it; This is true for all other regions as well. At the end, The Maw appears. The Maw, the end-game area offered to players with World of Warcraft: Shadowlands, and indeed itself, is one of the reasons for the postponement of this expansion pack. Originally, this area was in a state that would seriously annoy the players, even considered unplayable. Blizzard Entertainment stated that this area called The Maw should be really challenging. In fact, this space should have offered the players only difficulty rather than entertainment. Now, after all, we have video games and they need to be fun. How Blizzard Entertainment couldn't see this simple truth, I don't know, but after delays, alpha processes, and beta releases, The Maw has finally become tolerable. This area still has very critical problems, but I think none of them are at a level that cannot be fixed by updates. If we go back to the regions in the leveling part of the game, Bastion was really my favorite, but when you switch from Bastion to Maldraxxus, you think it is a completely different game; theme and environmental details are changing significantly. Also in this region, the whole expansion package has only one non-linear role. In fact, linear tasks are not bad either; Anyway, it would not be right to expect non-linear tasks from such a video game. By the way, all of the missions I encountered throughout the expansion were well above average; some were even fun with mechanics. World of Warcraft: Shadowlands At some points, we feel like I'm having a very similar experience. Even if every episode in World of Warcraft: Shadowlands is successful, I think the least successful episode is Ardenweald. This region actually looks beautiful and has a successful design, but it also looks like any other region in the base game. So, if we were to list all the regions of the expansion pack, Ardenweald would probably even fall below the starting zone for me. However, the quests where I leveled up the fastest and killed enemies in the most satisfying way were also in this region. That's why I'm not saying anything bad either. When it comes to content at the end of the game, we come across a progression system named Soulbinds with this expansion pack. Blizzard Entertainment really cares about the game World of Warcraft and tries to go one step further with each expansion pack. The problems of previous content and end-game systems coming to this game have already been known for a long time. Soulbinds seems to have been prepared with much greater care by the developer team, but unfortunately, not every past problem is solved with Soulbinds. Again, this system can easily be the best. World of Warcraft: Shadowlands offers players four different Covenants: Kyrian of Bastion, Night Fae of Ardenweald, Venthyr of Revendreth, and Necrolords of Maldraxxus. In fact, it looks like a very different system when you say that, but Covenant works similarly to the Faction system. The more you play the new expansion pack, the closer you get with one of these four sides. In this way, you meet three different key characters and you can get their special abilities. So, you combine the spirit of your own character with the spirit of those important characters. Of course, this system does not work with a few clicks. Every Soulbind you can get in the game has its own talent tree and you can unlock new features and abilities every time you get close to Covenant. In this way, you make your character different and stronger than the basics in terms of end-game content. Each Covenant in the game opens the door to different abilities, and the skills that can be given for each character class also change. In this way, maybe 400 different combinations emerge, which will please the players who manage more than 1 character at most. World of Warcraft: Shadowlands World of Warcraft: Shadowlands even gets a Rogue-like structure in its new version World of Warcraft: Shadowlands adds new cave type content to the game, which are actually end-game content. However, there are some features of the caves added to the game with this expansion pack. These are called Torghast and it offers a Rogue-like experience. In other words, every time you enter the cave, you come across a different structure and everything proceeds randomly. This increases the replayability with Torghast. Of course, there are other endgame content in this video game that may be of interest, and I will reach them over time. Before finishing my review, I would like to mention the visuals, performance, sounds and music of this game. Actually, I have mentioned the visuals before, but I want to repeat: World of Warcraft: Shadowlands, I think, contains the most beautiful parts of this video game and space designs. On the other hand, there is absolutely no performance problem. For example, I don't have a very powerful gaming computer, but I haven't seen such an unexpected optimization problem throughout my experience. I can say that the sounds and music are also above average. World of Warcraft: Shadowlands is an expansion pack that looks absolutely successful. Alone, this is what I felt and what I said naturally shouldn't let your guard down anyway. So, the early stages of every new content in this type of video game are great. That's why I think 3-4 weeks should be given to the expansion pack. I think in this type of video game, even the first week on new expansion packs can be misleading for ideas. However, if you play this video game regularly, I don't see much of a problem for now not to buy the new expansion pack. Nevertheless, World of Warcraft: Shadowlands will constantly improve, change, perhaps renew itself. For this reason, if I see it necessary, I will come back to this review post and make the necessary updates. However, I don't think my opinion about the opening side of the game, the leveling part and the end game content I mentioned will change much. The eighth expansion package, announced on November 1, 2019, finally came out and, to say it in one sentence, it has managed to satisfy me enough from its first days.
